The wedding of Chantal & Sandro was one of those that will stay with me for a long time. It wasn’t just the incredibly beautiful location those two got married at, but instead the absolutely relaxed atmosphere that shaped their whole day. I met up with Chantal at the rented apartment the couple was staying at and photographed her getting ready with her sister. When her dad came by to pick her up, I managed to grab an impromptu first-look between a father and daughter and now I’m hooked!

I have previously wirtten a blogpost on 5 reasons to do a first look before the wedding. Should you still chose not to do this, please consider doing one with your loved ones. Be it your dad, your mom, your grandmas or your best friends: This makes for beautiful emotions and memories!

But back to Chantal and Sandro: The groom and the guests boarded a catamaran in Ascona that took them to the wedding venue, Centro Dannemann. It was a perfect day, the sun shone and everyone enjoyed the boatride to the venue. I must say, this was also something I felt helped make their day as relaxed. Since everyone arrived early to catch the boat, the guests had time to chat and relax before the ceremony. Chantal later arrived by motorboat at the pier, where Sandro was already anxiously waiting.

The emotional ceremony was held outside at the border of Lago Maggiore and the water bottles that were handed out were desperately needed under the warm sun.
