Oh, I love the mountains. And I love weddings. Combine the two and you’ve got yourself a pretty happy photographer.

When Fiona and Claudio told me about their plans of getting married in one of my favorite parts of Switzerland I was immediately all in. They booked an airbnb to get ready in since their wedding was to take place in a different town from where they life. This also allowed them to spend a relaxed evening before the wedding with their friends and start the day at the same place. While Fiona was at the hairdressers, Claudio and his best man got ready and then went on their way to wait for his bride. Meanwhile, Fiona came back to the apartment and got dressed. It was a great solution that allowed a stress-free start, especially for Claudio.

Their FIrst Look was in the beautiful Fontanapark in Chur and we took the time to take some couples photos before the ceremony right there as well before continuing to the registry’s office in the Old Town of Chur. What a beauty! Because of Covid, not many people were allowed in the registry so they only celebrated with their closest familymembers and friends. The rest of the guests then welcomed the couple at the reception. It was an incredibly hot but beautiful day - as far as I remember it was actually the hottest day of the year at that point! So everyone was glad to go up higher to the town of Arosa for dinner and party.

It’s there that they also had the most beautiful view of the mountains and allowed me to take a few shots of them in the fading mountain light. Fiona and Claudio continued to party on and after spending the day with them and the guests I knew that it would be a party to remember. I was right! When I texted them a little preview in the morning I got an immediate response - they had partied all night long and were playing cards during sunrise. Guys, THAT’S how you end a wedding in style.
