It’s always something very special when a fellow photographer asks you to photograph them. It’s an honor and at the same time makes me feel a little nervous. Fabio and I originally met through our common work for the newspaper. I feel like especially his sports-pictures are always super creative and I love following his progress. When he asked me for a gift certificate for a couple’s shoot for him and his girlfiend I looked forward to it from the first moment on. We met up on a beautiful spring day, hiked up LOTS of steps and had fun shooting together. With these two it was absolutely effortless - they were so in love and it made for some truly happy pictures that I hope they’ll cherish for a long time.

And just to clear that up: NO, they’re not engaged (yet) - they just wanted to have nice pictures of the two of them together. They joked about how everyone would start asking them again once they saw the pictures and OF COURSE we walked past a few friends of theirs on the way back to the car and them - seeing me with the cameras - asked right then and there if there was a special occasion for the pictures. So, remember: There doesn’t have to be a special occasion for a shoot. The occasion is your love for each other. Always.
