A warm February day with a special date marked the long-awaited wedding-day of Sara and Fabio. Having been together for a decade, they kept their wedding a secret from most friends and family. Only a select few we’re let in on their plans and got to be a part of their intimate civil ceremony at the Burghaldehaus in Lenzburg, Switzerland.

Before the wedding, we met up for a couple’s shoot in a forest. It being February, none of us had probably counted on it being dry or even warm but we were surprised with the warmest weather and with beautiful light. I feel especially honored having been chosen to capture their day not only because I know Fabio personally and know some people from whom I had to keep their wedding a secret, but above all because Fabio is a great photographer himself. And getting to photograph a photogapher’s wedding is always something truly special.

A few years ago, Sara and Fabio already booked me for a couple’s shoot and had no plans of getting married back then. I guess it’s safe to say that I’m not the only one who’s happy they decided to finally say “I do” :)
