I had previously met Emanuela and Marco for an unforgettable engagement-shoot and was extremely excited for their wedding. They decided to have their fairytale wedding on a little old castle where everything from the ceremony to the party was being held. It was a beautiful summer day when I arrived at Schloss Böttstein in Leuggern and the bride and groom were still getting ready in their room. The father of the bride was already nervously waiting for his daughter and it was one of those moments where I knew I had found the right profession.

After the wedding their friends had the groom drive his wife around in a riksha while wearing a plastic viking-helmet. Don't ask me what that was all about because I sorta didn't get the memo. But it was definitely fun and made for some wonderful photos. If you have crazy friends, please let them organize something creative for your wedding. I assure you, it will be one of your favorite parts and most cherished memories of the wedding.

What I loved most was Marco and Emanuelas thoughtfulness. During our meetings before the wedding we had discussed the timeline and knew that we wanted to take their couples-photos while their guests were enjoying some drinks and snacks. But that wasn't enough for Emanuela and Marco; they wanted their guests to be entertained. Long story short, they both organized an interactive quiz for their guests to participate in. I'm still in awe of their creativity! For example: For one question, Emanuela sunk three little bottles in the castle's fountain. The guests had to fish out the bottles to find the possible answers enclosed within. Another station had a few perfumes and the guests had to guess which one was Emanuela's. I mean, how cool is that?

It was such an amazing day and I'm beyond happy that the two of them chose me to be their photographer.
